How to Mix a Mean Holiday Drink

Caesars are a classic party drink. To make: Rim a glass with fresh limejuice. Coat with rimmer (celery salt or sea salt). Add ice. Add desired amount of Vodka. To taste: Add Worcestershire and Tabasco (usually 2 shakes of each). Add Mott’s Clamato (Mott’s also makes The Works, which comes already spiced, and if you're really daring, the Extra Spicy version). Some people like to add a little horseradish for an extra kick. Garnish with lime wedges or celery and a little salt and pepper. For more Caesar recipes check out: www.mottsclamato.com

Gussy up even the most mundane of tasks by loading dishes destined for the washer on a deep-framed print. We used a RIBBA framed print from Ikea to ferry our dirty glasses to the kitchen. Really, how cool is that?!

To mix a MERRY BERRY CANDY CANE MARTINI: Combine 3/4 oz of Skyy Berry vodka, 3/4 oz of peppermint schnapps, 3/4 oz of white Crème de Cacao and 1/4 oz of grenadine in a shaker filled with ice. After shaking, pour into a martini glass rimmed with crushed candy canes (or just garnish with a whole candy cane). Fill with Half and Half cream and top up with soda water. Mmm…delicious and stylish. Save time by making a pitcher that you can just pour and garnish.

You simply can't have a party without a good wine and beer selection. Go for something tasty and refreshing like Grolsh or a Pilsner and a couple of bottles of red and chilled white. Set them up in a creative manner and they're decorative pieces all on their own!
