![]() Pierre Lalande, makeover expert and owner of Pierre Lalande Salon in downtown Toronto, used a distinctive three-step approach to create the right hair design for Katherine and Jason. |
![]() First, a simple questionnaire determined their DNA personality style profile. The second step was a colour analysis. Finally, a feature analysis helped Pierre identify the feminine and masculine side of the face, allowing him to make facial features appear softer or more angular by working with the hair part. |
![]() Jason’s highlights were too white against his naturally dark hair, so Pierre left the very platinum highlights in and slightly lightened Jason’s natural base. Now Jason’s colour is in perfect harmony with his eyes and skin. To complete Jason’s look, Pierre reshaped his hair and parted it slightly from right to left to make his features appear more angular. |
![]() Katherine’s hair colour was looking dull and harsh, with very light, grown-out highlights. Pierre applied a partial highlight in a pale blonde and finished with a glosser to slightly warm up her base color. He parted Katherine’s hair to make her features appear more angular. |
![]() Pierre then completed Katherine’s look with makeup by Lalande Cosmetics. |
![]() Pierre explained that the best accent colours are derived from eye colour, while the best foundation colours are derived from skin colour. Katherine’s colour analysis is a summer accent and summer foundation—a little less common because 85 percent of people have an accent that’s different from the foundation colour. Pierre also shows Katherine how she may want to wear her hair for her upcoming wedding. For more information about Pierre Lalande, visit lalandecosmetics.com or call 416-703-1098. |
